Victory Mission Night We are going to Springfield's Victory Mission to serve food to the homeless and the needy on Saturday June 27 from 5: 30 to 6: 45 p.m. One time when I went to serve at Victory Mission, I began talking to a man who said he was in prison for some time, but the Lord not only saved his soul but the Lord made a way for him to get released. With tears in his eyes, he told me how grateful he is for each day and how he wants to serve the Lord with a music ministry and he wants to become a professional chef. He encouraged me more than I encouraged him! If you want to meet Jesus in the eyes of the homeless and needy of downtown Springfield, then call our church office at 833-6171 or send the church office an e-mail at antioch.methodist@mchsi.com. Sincerely,
Pastor Kevin

New Playground Area! - We now have a new playground area for our children. It consists of a new swing set, slide and picnic table. Thanks to the Antioch Pie Makers for donating the funds needed to purchase the equipment and supplies. Thanks also to those who have supported our ministry by buying those pies and also to those who donated their time, equipment, and tools to construct the playground.
New Mission and Vision Statements - On October 22, 2007 the Church Council adopted a new mission statement and new vision statements. These statements were the results of input received from the congregation which were reviewed at the Fall planning retreat. The vision statements will help us move forward in providing ministry to our current members, future members, our community and beyond our community. They are formulated around the "Five Fruitful Practices of Congregations". Some of these visions will be easliy achieved in a short time and others will require time, prayer and effort.
